Congratulations to all scholarship recipients; we are excited to see the great things you will achieve!

Hello Class of '66 friends,

I want to share wonderful news I received from our friend and classmate, Richard Castro.

The Texas State University President, Kelly Dambousse, has announced that Richard Castro will receive an Honorary Degree, DOCTOR OF HUMANE LETTERS, by the University.  It is being conferred on May 8th.

What an amazing honor for Richard!  And, it's a well-deserved recognition for all of his contributions to the university.  His contributions have been enormous.  Like I've said before, we are all so proud of his accomplishments and also having Richard as our friend and a member of the CLASS of '66!

Richard, CONGRATULATIONS ON THIS AMAZING HONOR!!  We wish you all the best and THANK YOU so much for all you do to help others.

Class of 1966
Tribute to SFHS Teachers

On June 8, 2024, the Class of 1966 organized a banquet in Del Rio, TX to express their gratitude and appreciation towards the SFHS teachers. The event was attended by a number of teachers who had taught at the school during that time, and it was a heartwarming occasion where many of them were remembered and honored for their contributions. The class of 1966 took this opportunity to pay tribute to these who had played a significant role in shaping their lives and education.

We would like to express our gratitude to Leticia Vela Koontz for her exceptional communication skills and dedication to keeping us all informed. We also want to thank Richard Castro for initiating this wonderful idea of bringing us together. Your efforts are appreciated.

We hope to see you all at the Black and White Ball in November!
